Welcome to Hintonburg; one of Ottawa’s newest, hottest, and trendiest neighborhoods right now.
For the past number of years, Hintonburg has been rapidly growing and evolving as the hip new spot to live, work, and open a new business. With tons of cool, modern homes being built, this area has gone from the lower-end neighborhood to the red hot place that everyone wants a piece of. Wellington Street is the local strip where you’ll find tons of phenomenal new restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, clothing stores, art studios, and tons more.
And if all the new residential and business development wasn’t enough, the upcoming LRT stations are coming in along Scott Road on the north side of Hintonburg. This will only be fueling the densification of this area as it becomes accessible across the city via rail line. On top of this we have the future new Civic Hospital building going in at Tunneys Pasture. There is the Lebreton Flats development to the east side of Hintonburg. And there is the convenient 417 highway on the south side. Add it all up, and you have a recipe for one of the most rapidly growing neighborhoods in the entire city.
What will all of this do to real estate values? Let’s just say that if you can buy something over there right now, you need to get on it. This area won’t be affordable to most buyers in the near future.
If you’re interested in condo developments check out this 2 buildings: The Tamarack Wellington, and The Eddy (The Eddy is a very cool & sustainable green development). They’re both very attractive buildings, and are located in prime spots along Wellington Street.
